What we do…

Modern/Street Dance (Infant & Junior)

This class is designed to enable students to have a fun insight into dance.  Students will do a simple warm-up combined with learning basic modern dance moves, corner work and then finish with a dance routine. Exams are also studied for. Age 3 years to 5 years enables our infant members to learn how to work as part of a team, gain confidence and experience through general class work/exams, and by performing on stage and in competitions (optional) whilst still having fun.

(Age 6 ½ +) enhances the basic modern moves and higher level examinations are introduced.

Drama (Infant & Junior)

This class teaches students the basics in drama – voice projection, stage presence, line learning, mime and confidence building games.

Tap (Infant & Junior)

Students will have a structured technical tap lesson – at first learning the basic steps and then moving on to more complicated combinations as they progress.  Most will work towards examinations and all will prepare work for shows and competitions.

Ballet (Infant & Junior)

This lesson is the basis of any good dancer and aids with every aspect of any style of dance.  Whilst we always encourage fun in the school – ballet has to demand high levels of discipline.  Students will work towards examinations and also learn basic ballet steps, moves and dances and naturally progress, as they get older.

Singing/Musical Theatre

Students will learn scales, warm up techniques, harmonies and songs.  This lesson is very beneficial for students who go to auditions as individual songs will be practised in class to encourage and help gain confidence.  Microphone technique is also introduced in more advanced sessions. Musical theatre combines singing, dancing and drama skills to produce an overall routine. This will give students the chance to learn about musicals such as ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Oliver’, ‘Annie’ etc.
